The 30th annual presentation of a community festival inaugurated in 1988 to celebrate the joy of "All Things Italian," Festa Italiana is a actually a week-long series of events in late September, culminating in a major Italian Festival at Seattle Center. Festa Italiana activities focus on the cultural roots and the history of Italians in America, especially the Northwest, and celebrate the arts, the food and the spirit that is uniquely Italian.

Friday, September 15, 11:00 AM - Festa Italiana Luncheon at the Seattle Yacht Club.
The Annual Festa Luncheon sponsored by the Italian Club of Seattle will be held this year at the prestigious Seattle Yacht Club overlooking Portage Bay. The date is Friday, September 15th, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The Seattle Yacht Club offers us a beautiful dining room, great food and free parking, all for the reasonable price of $55 per person. It almost always sells out so we suggest you get your RSVPs in early. Festa Italiana is happy to announce that this year's Gill Centioli Award winner is Brian DiJulio, and veteran stage announcer John Venables will be the recipient of the Patricia DeLaurenti Volunteer of the Year Award. This year's Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Paolo Feraboli from the world-famous Laboratorio Automobili Lamborghini located in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle. Dr. Feraboli will speak on the subject of carbon fiber that is lighter than aluminum and stronger than steel as was developed for racecars by Lamborghini and is now used in Boeing airplanes.

Friday September 22nd, 7-10:00 PM - The "Taste of Italy"TM at Seattle Center

Back by Popular Demand! Friday night in the Armory at Seattle Center, Festa Italiana will offer an evening of tasting over 70 Italian wines representing every region of Italy provided by Bolla, Banfi and Leonardo Locascio Selections, plus an array of Italian antipasti from Big John's PFI and a free wine glass! Featuring live music by Danny Quintero as well, this is an event you don't want to miss.
Price is $30 at the door or you may purchase tickets for $25 via Eventbrite (There is a processing fee of $2.24 per ticket).

Saturday & Sunday, September 23 & 24 - The Italian Festival.
The culmination of Festa Italiana and the largest ethnic festival at Seattle Center, the Italian Festival features food, music, art, dance and participatory activities for the entire family. There's "The Great Italian Chefs" cooking demonstrations, the Festa Grape Stomp, the Bocce Tournament, children's activities, an historical photo collection, a contemporary exhibit of photos of Italy, an Italian Classic Vehicle Show, and three stages with Free Entertainment.
